In Email This Issue, you can create a backup JSON file of your existing configuration and use it to:
The backup process takes place in the Email This Issue - Administration - Backup/Restore section.
The Backup/Restore page has a Backup button (next to Add file ) which is used to export all configurations in the system.
Clicking on Backup displays a Description field that is optional to fill. The Create button under the description field starts the backup process. You may cancel the backup process before hitting Create, by clicking on the Cancel button.
The following values are displayed for the exported files:
Field | Description |
---|
Export date | Date and time of the export displayed in the timezone settings of the original backup system. |
Description | The description field's value, that has been entered during the backup process. If left empty, nothing is displayed. |
Exported by | Username of the person creating the export (in raw text format). |
Source system | The version numbers of the original system of the exported instance (both Email This Issue and Jira versions are displayed). |
The backup JSON file is by default stored at <your_jira_library>\home\data\emailissue.
The exported files can be deleted by clicking on the three dots at the end of the backup row and clicking on Delete.
Backup files can be downloaded by pressing Download.
