Direct setting of Status of issue fails

Description

We'd like to set issue status according to norification emails coming from legacy system. We set RegExp, lookup rule and fill Status field rule

We send email, Summary and other set up fields being changed, but Status is not

We use simple standart process.

We tried both UPPERCASE and ProperCase for Status value – Issue Status is not changed

Is there any workarounds?
N.B. We would like status to be set up directly, not thru transitions.
